Any proposal must be accompanied by a certified check payable to the Brewster Central School District or by a Bid Bond for a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, conditioned as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders.

All bid security, except those of the three low bidders will be returned within four days after proposals are submitted. The bid security provided by the three low bidders will be returned after the execution of the Trade Contract.

The District will require the successful bidder to provide separate Performance and Labor & Materials Payment Bonds in the amount of the contract price and in the form specified in the Bid Documents.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the District reserves the right to reject bids that contain omissions, exceptions or modifications, or in their sole discretion to waive such irregularities, or to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid which is in the best interest of the District.

The Putnam County
Department of Highways
& Facilities (PCDHF) has
announced that a public
informational meeting
will be held to discuss the
proposed replacement of the
Sodom Road Bridge over the
East Branch Croton River.
The meeting will be held
during the Southeast Town
Board meeting at 7:00 PM on
May 19, 2016 at Southeast
Town Hall, 1360 Route 22.
PCDHF, in cooperation
with the Federal Highway
Administration and the
New York State Department
of Transportation, is
developing design studies
for the bridge replacement
project. The project is near
Sodom Road’s intersection
with Brewster Hill Road.
The proposed project is in
the Town of Southeast in
Putnam County.
The purpose of the meeting
is to obtain comments on
the proposed project from
individuals, groups, officials
and local agencies. The
Department is specifically
soliciting comments on the
development of alternates
for the project and comments
on the project's social,
economic and environmental
effects. This public
informational meeting
is part of the continuing
efforts by the Federal
Highway Administration
to encourage public input
into the development of
transportation projects.

AVENUE BRIDGE
WITH PEDESTRIAN
IMPROVEMENTS
The Putnam County
Department of Highways
& Facilities (PCDHF) has
announced that a public
informational meeting
will be held to discuss
the proposed replacement
of the Morningthorpe
Avenue Bridge over the
East Branch Croton River
with a pedestrian bridge,
as well as the installation
of a shared-use path on
Morningthorpe Ave. and
sidewalk improvements on
Park Street. The meeting
will be held during the
Southeast Town Board

meeting at 7:00 PM on May
19, 2016 at Southeast Town
Hall, 1360 Route 22.
PCDHF, in cooperation
with the Federal Highway
Administration and the
New York State Department
of Transportation, is
developing design studies
for the project. The project
will start at Main Street and
end at Route 22, a total of
1750 feet in length. The
proposed project is in the
Village of Brewster and
the Town of Southeast in
Putnam County.
The purpose of the meeting
is to obtain comments
on the proposed project
from individuals, groups,
officials and local agencies.
The PCDHF is specifically
soliciting comments on the
development of alternates
for the project and comments
on the project's social,
economic and environmental
effects. This public
informational meeting
is part of the continuing
efforts by the Federal
Highway Administration
to encourage public input
into the development of
transportation projects.
