BREWSTER - Veteran coach Gerry Walsh had high hopes for his Brewster girls lacrosse team last spring, and the Bears enjoyed a solid season, for the most part. BREWSTER - After a mediocre season and an early playoff exit last spring, Bears Manager Ed Mulvihill and the Brewster High baseball team believe there's more in store for the team this season. BREWSTER - It was a rocky first week of the new season for the Brewster High lacrosse team, as the Bears dropped their opener to Clarkstown South, 4-3, then got bounced two days later by John Jay, 11-6. Thursday at Brewster against John Jay, the Bears played even with Jay in the first half, with the score at 2-2 after one and 4-4 at the break. Full Story
Mahopac Laxmen Rip Fordman Prep, fall to Somers
MAHOPAC - The reviews were mixed last week for the Mahopac High boys lacrosse team, as the Indians opened the season with a strong, 11-5 victory over Fordham Prep, before dropping a 7-4 decision to Somers two days later. Thursday at Mahopac, the Indians took on a strong Somers team, and had momentum on their side after going up 3-1 after one quarter of play. Full Story
