Praying for the Community Dozens of residents took time from their busy schedules to participate in Putnam County's celebration of the National Day of Prayer. Last Thursday's noon-time vigil took place at the Cornerstone Park in Carmel and featured prayers recited by a number of community leaders as well as members of the clergy. Full Story

GOP Makes Endorsements Incumbents as well as newcomers have been endorsed by the Kent Republican Town Committee for election in November. The GOP met last week at the Kent FD headquarters in Kent Cliffs and nominated Supervisor Kathy Doherty to seek a second two-year term along with incumbent Town Clerk Lana Cappelli and Kent Receiver of Taxes Jeanne Johnson.
