Elizabeth Pinckey

Pinckney, Elizabeth, age 90, of Patterson, NY, wife of the late Philip L. Pinckney, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 in Beacon, NY.

Mrs. Pinckney was born August 5, 1918 in Nelsonville, NY to Ernest and Estella (Daniels) Allen. She graduated from Haldane High School in Coldspring, NY.

Mrs. Pinckney was a Bookkeeper for the family business, Phil-Beth Farm Repair, Inc. in Patterson, NY.

Through the years, Mrs. Pinckney took great comfort in serving the Lord as treasurer of the Patterson Baptist Church of which she was a member. She also served as secretary/treasurer of the Patterson Baptist Church Cemetery., which was located directly across from the church.

Mrs. Pinckney had been a resident of Patterson since 1958, having lived in Coldspring, NY since she was a child before that.

Mrs. Pinckney is survived by her son Robert Seger and his wife Sharon of Manchester, NH, her son-in-law James Palmatier of Mims, FL; four grandchildren, Diane Feilen and her husband John of Milton, NY, James Palmatier and his wife Christine of Beacon, NY, Janet Emerson and her husband Donald of Derry, NH and Cheryl Seger. Also several great grandchildren. Mrs. Pinckney was pre-deceased by a daughter Grace Palmatier.

A funeral service was held Saturday, May 9, 2009 11:00AM at the Patterson Baptist Church, Route 311, Patterson, NY. Interment following at the Patterson Baptist Church Cemetery, Patterson, NY, which was located directly across from the church. Friends may call at the church at 10:00am before the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Pinckney's memory may be made to the Patterson Baptist Church Building Fund, 595 Route 311, Patterson, NY 12563.
