Mahopac fell to 8-5.

Will Stewart led Jay with four goals and an assist.

Tyler Perrelle, Okie Bernabo, TJ Foley and Anthony Berardis each had a goal for Mahopac, and John Bota and Kevin Carey each had one assist.

"They came out in a zone, and shut off our two best players (Perrelle and John Brandofino)," Mahopac coach Dave Haddeland said. "So we were relying on younger players, with not a lot of experience. We got sloppy… Foley played well, he was a bright spot, and Berardis - a freshman - contributed. Johnny McGuigan (15 saves) also had a good game."

The prior Tuesday at Greeley, Perrelle got the game-winner with 3:17 remaining, off a feed from Chase Thompson. That same tandem tied the game at 8-8 with 8:08 left.

Perrelle finished with three goals and two assists, Brandofino added four goals, Bernabo went two and two, Thompson had two assists and Carey had one assist.

McGuigan stopped 15 shots in goal for Mahopac.

"It was a sloppy game, in the rain," Haddeland said. "Chase did a great job on faceoffs, and had great looks on the two goals, McGuigan had a good game, he made some big saves. Tyler did a great job moving the ball, and he got us a big goal when we needed it. And John had four goal on five shots."

Mahopac travels to Putnam Valley today (Thursday) for a 4:30 p.m. game, and the Indians host Guilderland Saturday at a time TBA.
