What a treat!
Putnam Hospital Center administrators and staff marveled at the sights and sounds emanating from the Camarda Care Center Saturday when the hospital celebrated its annual KIDS' Day celebration.
More than 2,000 attended the event that featured something for children of all ages. From finger casting to heart monitoring; a teddy bear check up, Operation Safe Child; visits by emergency responders from the Carmel Fire Department, Carmel Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Kent Police and Carmel Police.
Clowns, live animals, games, martial arts, balloons, prizes and refreshments kept moms, dads, grandparents and children happy for hours.
Sally Killean-Camparetto of Mahopac, who is expecting her fifth daughter on Sunday, visited with two of her girls to have the family car fitted with a new child safety seat courtesy of Officer Brian Shay of the Carmel PD: "This is the best! What a treat for the children and for us parents as well. The hospital deserves a pat on the back."
