BREWSTER - The Brewster Bears baseball team closed regular-season play with a pair of wins last week, topping Ossining twice - 6-1 at Ossining last Friday, after a 7-3 victory the prior Wednesday at Brewster. Rams Prepare for Playoffs by Whipping Mt. Vernon, 15-2
CARMEL - The Carmel High baseball team played its final game before this weekend's playoffs last Wednesday at Carmel, putting a 15-2 pounding on Mt. Vernon in non-league action. The Knights collected just three hits off Carmel pitching, as Mike Volpe carried a no-hitter into the sixth, when he allowed his first hit. Evan Hoffman came on in relief and finished the game. Indians Edge Quakers, 13-12, on Armstrong Goal
MAHOPAC - Abby Armstrong came up with four goals - including the game-winner - to lead the Mahopac High girls lacrosse team to a 13-12 victory over Greeley in a game played last Tuesday at Mahopac. Full Story

BREWSTER - The No. 4 seed Brewster High lacrosse team put together a solid effort in eliminating No. 13 Tappan Zee, 13-2, in a Section 1 Class B playoff game last Thursday at Brewster.
