Midshipman Thomas H. Othmer of Kent has received his second Silver Star at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York, for academic achievement. Thomas is the son of Richard and Irene Othmer of Kent. Silver Stars are awarded to students who achieve a grade point average of 3.25-2. Full Story
