Motocross Repair Offers Hands-On Learning at BOCES
Two juniors at Brewster High School have made a difference for a fellow student enrolled in the auto mechanics program at Putnam-Northern Westchester BOCES. John Moriarty, enrolled in the auto body program, owns and races a motocross bike. After a $1,200 engine repair, the two-wheeler was still not operating properly and he became frustrated. Full Story
Brewster School Kids Collect Pennies for Peace
The question being asked most around Garden Street School in Brewster these days, is, "Got a penny?" Children have collected more than 20,000 pennies to date for the Pennies for Peace initiative that helps build schools and purchase school supplies for villages in remote Pakistan and Afghanistan.
