Putnam Legislator Sam Oliverio has called County Executive Robert Bondi a "dictator." The accusation was made last week during discussion and debate over the county's solid waste management plan at a meeting of the county Legislature's Health, Social, Educational and Environmental Committee. No Bail for Lake Peekskill Youth Accused in Marcinak Murder
An 18-year-old Lake Peekskill youth accused in the shooting death of a popular Garrison businessman will remain incarcerated at the Putnam Correctional Facility in Carmel. Anthony Grigoroff appeared in Putnam County Court Tuesday with his attorney who requested that Judge James Reitz set bail and release the suspect to the custody of his mother. Full Story

Summing up his candidacy, Kevin McConville smiles and says bluntly, "Putnam needs professional police management."
