Mahopac High School Graduates Largest Class Ever
On June 23, 2009, the largest class ever to graduate from a Putnam County high school received their diplomas in Connecticut. The Mahopac High School Class of 2009, numbering 474, was cheered by more than 3500 family and friends at Western Connecticut State University's O'Neill Center in Danbury in comfortable, air-conditioned surroundings. Carmel High School Principal Kevin Carroll smiled when thunder and lightning accompanied by torrential rainfall pelted the O'Neill Center on the Western Connecticut State University campus. Putnam County's final high school commencement for 2009 was the most memorable, when three generations of Brewster High School graduates received ovations. Four students from the Putnam area graduated with Wooster School's 2009 class, Megan Casey, Joseph DeLosa, Kevin Eberly, and Dylan Herman. Megan Casey of Mahopac won the James S.
