Five residents of Putnam were among 11 employees at the Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES to receive tenure.

The granting process took place last week at the BOCES Board of Education annual organizational meeting when Stacey Chiarella of Patterson, Steven DeFino of Mahopac, Angela Minichino of Putnam Valley, Doreen Trani of Mahopac, and Stacy Salmeri of Mahopac Falls joined six other residents of Westchester and Fairfield counties in receiving the recognition.

Chiarella teaches English in the BOCES Special Education program while DeFino is a teaching assistant who works with students enrolled in construction courses.

Minichino is also a teaching assistant who is employed in the BOCES Special Education program. The other teaching assistants— Trani and Salmeri—were also lauded for their "energetic and bubbly personalities."
