CARMEL - The Tri-County Bulldogs 15-and-under Valley baseball team split its four games at the USSSA Happy Birthday America Tournament last weekend, and finished in second place in their division. Kent Sox Fall to Somers, Yonkers, North Salem
KENT - The Kent White Sox 16-andunder baseball team dropped its three games last week, falling to Somers, 16-2, Sunday, Yonkers, 21-0, also Sunday, and North Salem, 3-0, the prior Wednesday in WPBA action. Sunday against Somers (5-0), Ray Williams took the loss on the mound for the Sox (0-5), who are managed by Gary Guerrazzi. Full Story

Bulldogs 16 English Team Splits Four at Baseball Heaven Independence Day Tournament
CARMEL - The Tri-County Bulldogs 16-and-under English baseball team went 2-2 last weekend at the Baseball Heaven Independence Day Championship Tournament in Long Island. The Bulldogs English squad, coached by Asa Barnes, defeated the Cadets, 8-4, in game 1 Friday night, then dropped a 9-8 decision to the CT. Sidewinders. Full Story
Kent Sox 16s Look Tough, Open Summer with Two Wins
KENT - The Kent White Sox 16-andunder softball team opened the summer season with two wins last week, topping Yorktown AC, 13-0, Thursday, after beating Ossining, 8-2, the prior Monday. Both games were played at Ryan Park in Lake Carmel, where the team will be playing its home games this summer. Full Story
Do Try Putnam's Tri 'N Du
Putnam drivers be aware. There will be bikers pedaling and runners striding alongside Gipsy Trail Road, and Route 301 this Sunday, July 12 when the 2nd Annual Putnam County Tri 'N Du takes place. Several hundred athletes from across the Northeast will gather early at Veteran's Memorial Park, 201 Gispy Trail Road in Kent for the 8am start of this year's event. Full Story
