Putnam County residents are breathing a sigh of relief this week after learning the New York State Senate renewed a one-percent sales tax extender for the next two years. CARMEL - The Carmel Cubs 16-year-old Blue baseball team split its four games last week. The Cubs dropped an 8-4 decision to North Salem Sunday, and fell to Cortlandt, 10- 6, Saturday. Carmel posted a 4-1 victory over Lewisboro last Friday, and defeated Kent, 13-1, one day earlier. Full Story
