MTA Builds 'A Bridge Too Far'

The epic 1977 film A Bridge Too Far tells the story of an attempt by the Allied army to seize a key bridge deep in the heart of the occupied Netherlands during World War II. While audacious, the attempt failed. A British officer unwittingly coined the name of the movie when he commented on the ultimate failure of the operation.
