Martin Forschner

Martin Forschner died suddenly, Sunday, July 19, 2009 in Wingdale, NY, with his family by his side. Mr. Forschner was born in Brewster, NY, on January 27, 1935, to the late Arthur and Marion (Mygan) Forschner.

Martin was a veteran of the US Navy and served in the Korean War. He married the love of his life Carol Miller on March 12, 1962, at St. Lawrence O’Toole in Brewster, NY.

Martin was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved watching NASCAR. But most of all Martin loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Besides being survived by his beloved wife Carol, Martin is survived by his children, Michael (Cindy) of Stormville, NY, Daniel of Wingdale, NY, Arthur (Cindy) of Brewster, NY, Thomas (Donna) of Athens, NY, David (Rita) Pueblo, CO, and pre-deceased by his daughter Alice. His cherished grandchildren are Kelli, Matthew, Nicole, Thomas, David, Lisa and Dale. He is also survived by his brother John of NY and Kathryn Cole of NH, and pre-deceased by brother Arthur, also, several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was celebrated on July 25, 2009 at 12 noon at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY, 845-279-3615. He will be greatly missed.
