Mildred Alice Granelli

Mildred Alice Granelli of Alpharetta, GA, died Friday July 24, 2009 in Atlanta, GA, at the age of 89.

Mrs. Granelli was born October 11, 1919 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Edward and Edith (Raynor) Nowak. She graduated from Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn in 1937. On Dec. 2, 1950 she married Richard Granelli in Brooklyn, NY. They moved to Brewster, NY, from Bronx, NY, in 1964 where they became members of St. Lawrence O’Toole Church. Mrs. Granelli worked as a regional secretary for White Hall Laboratories in Mt. Kisco before retiring in 1986. In 1996 Mr. Granelli predeceased his wife. Mrs. Granelli moved to Alpharetta, GA, following her husbands death.

Mrs. Granelli is survived by five children; Lucille Powell of Port Gibson, NY, Jane Kessler of Bethel, CT, Gail Quirin of Scottsdale, AZ, Laura D’Errico of Roswell, GA, Richard Granelli of Atlanta, GA, two sisters Dorothy Haywood of UT, and Adele White of NJ, sixteen grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sat. Aug. 8, 2009 11am at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster, NY. Internment will follow in St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery, Brewster. Beecher Funeral Home in Brewster is handling the arrangements.
