O’Connell allows no base runners in game against Nanuet
MAHOPAC – The Mahopac Warriors 16U baseball team got a rare performance last Saturday, as Kevin O’Connell pitched a perfect game in a 6-0 victory over Nanuet in a New York Amateur Baseball Association game played at Nanuet.
O’Connell went all seven innings and threw 71 pitches, allowing no runs, no hits, and no base runners. He struck out three. Full Story
One-Loss Pirates Clinch Division
Patterson 10s spank Ossining, 6-0, in opener
PATTERSON — The Patterson Pirates 10U baseball team won its final four regular-season games last week, beating Mount Kisco, 12-2, Saturday, Kent, 11-1, also Saturday, after topping Carmel, 10-0, last Thursday. The Pirates opened the week with a 10-0 blowout of Ossining the prior Tuesday. Full Story
Cortlandt United Wins First Men’s U23 State Soccer Title
The weekend of July 25 & 26, at Stringham Park in Lagrange, NY, was the stage for the Inaugural U23 Men’s State Cup Title. The two top seeds from the Greater Hudson Valley League and Capital region in Albany, played to determine the State Cup Winner. The Capital Region was represented by New York Soccer Elite and Shenentaha Mad Dogs. Full Story
Kent Sox Clinch 18U Division Title for Second Straight Year
KENT – The Kent White Sox 18U baseball team wrapped up a WPBA division title for the second consecutive season last week, finishing regular-season play at 17-3, with playoffs set for this week. Full Story

Last Friday night’s Patterson Fire Department parade and carnival was canceled, as wind and heavy rain clobbered Putnam. Tri-County Bulldogs 16s Split Two with Wappingers
BREWSTER – The Tri-County Bulldogs 16U baseball team picked up an 8-7 victory over the Monroe Crusaders Sunday at Brewster High School. TCB also split a double-header with Wappingers Saturday, dropping a 5-2 decision in game one, then winning game two, 3-1.
Against Monroe, Ryan Kuck picked up the win for TCB, which improved to 8-4 in league play. Full Story
Kent 9YOs End Season Soaked And Hopeful
The 9-year old Kent White Sox boys baseball team played their final game of the season on Sunday, August 2nd. The team, comprised of 12 boys and coached by Frank Benitez, began their summer season in June. They played 18 games - 9 home and 9 away. The White Sox played local teams from surrounding towns, such as Patterson and Carmel, but also traveled as far as Ossining and Briarcliff. Full Story
Sox Softball Rips Opponents, Wraps Up WPBA 16 YO Title
KENT – With two more blowout victories last week, the Kent White Sox 16U softball team completed an outstanding summer season that saw the team go 13-0-1 in WPBA play.
Kent ripped Yorktown, 13-0, on the road last Tuesday, with Brianna Ciuffi earning the victory on the mound. Ciuffi shut Yorktown out on two hits. She struck out seven and walked one. Full Story
Sox 10 YOs Fall in Playoffs
KENT – The Kent White Sox 10-yearold baseball team nearly pulled off an upset, but ended up dropping a 5-4 decision in the first round of the WPBA playoffs Monday night at Sleepy Hollow.
Sleepy, the No. 3 seed, advances to the semifinals, and improved to 13-6. Kent, the No. 6 seed, closed the summer season at 9-10. Full Story
Kent White Sox 12YOs Go 1-3 at Regional Tourney

KENT – The Kent White Sox 12U baseball team opened play in the Babe Ruth regional tournament in Albany last week, and went 1-3.
Kent defeated Piedmont, Delaware, 7-0, on Friday, with Matt Valentinetti earning the victory on the mound for the White Sox.
Also on Friday, Kent dropped a 13-0 decision to Northwestern PA, with John Neibhur taking the loss on the mound. Full Story

Tri-County Bulldogs Place Second
BREWSTER – The Tri-County Bulldogs 15U Valley baseball team finished second at the Mid-Atlantic Showdown Tournament at Baseball Heaven in Long Island last weekend.
Tri-County went 4-2 in the tournament.
In the championship game on Monday, July 27, the Bulldogs fell, 4-3, to the CT Dynasty.

Juliano Zanetti of Brewster won a 3rd round decision victory against Salivdor Ramos, Bronx, at the AKBF Westchester Kickboxing & Grappling Championships Solaris Sports Club in Yorktown . Zanetti will be fighting again August 21st at Tuxedo Junction Night Club in Danbury. Full Story
