9th Annual Nimham Intertribal Pow Wow
The 9th Annual Daniel Nimham Intertribal Pow Wow beat its way through Kent last weekend.
Gil “Cryinghawk” Tarbox organized the event at Veterans Memorial Park. A member of the Nimham Mountain Singers, who promote Native American music and spirituality, Gil surveyed the scene on Sunday and said, “I’m tremendously proud of what is happening here.” Full Story

Prominent Lake Carmel man faces felony charges for sexually explicit contact with minor
A man described by police as a “prominent member of the community involved in area youth groups and sports organizations” is facing felony charges for allegedly having sexually explicit on-line conversations with a 14-year-old Carmel girl.
Police arrested Thomas Montesi, 46, of Lake Carmel, late Tuesday afternoon following a three-week long investigation. Full Story
