Tour de Putnam Takes Off Aug. 30
Bicycle enthusiasts across the Northeast are gearing up in preparation for the 12th Annual Tour de Putnam Cycling Festival, the race designed by cyclists for cyclists. Kickstands go up at 8am at Veterans Memorial Park on Gipsy Trail Road in Kent, on Sunday, August 30. Full Story

Legend Among Regional Educational Circles to Retire
Putnam-Northern Westchester BOCES Deputy Superintendent Dr. Renee Gargano is being remembered this week as an “institution within an institution.”

A Menacing Party
On Lakeview Drive, Andrew P. Natell’s party got out of hand. While patrolling, Deputy Sheriff Thomas Lee observed something fishy happening around a parked vehicle. There he found Natell, 23, of Lakeview drive, waving a BB gun at a car.
