The seven-year-old daughter of Deputy County Executive and Mrs. John Tully of Patterson scored a hole-in-one Sunday at the U.S. Kids Golf Tournament held at the Agawam Golf Course in Massachusetts.

Caitlin achieved her amazing feat on the par 3 fifth hole.

Caitlin was in awe over her golf prowess. “This is the coolest thing

I have ever done,” she said.

Her dad said, “as I watched the smile grow on my daughter's face when her caddy hoisted her into the air and celebrated the awesome moment, I realized the importance of the organization's mission statement: ‘To help kids have fun learning the lifelong game of golf at an early age to encourage family interaction that builds lasting memories.’”

Tully said what made the occasion even more special was that her mom was caddying for her older sister Amanda who was in the foursome golfing ahead: “Caitlin couldn't wait to tell her older sister. She ran like a sprinting champion to advise her mom and sister of the unbelievable accomplishment.”

Caitlin has been playing golf for only two years. Her dad said he has been on and off the links for more than 20 years and “I never even came close to a hole in one.”
