Chad Collesian of Mahopac Mulch is preparing for the winter slowdown, when his business transitions into a firewood and supplies shop. After all, Mahopac came into Saturday’s annual grudge match against Carmel with little on its resume to suggest there would actually be a battle.

Wins Elude Brewster Field Hockey
BREWSTER—The Brewster High field hockey team battled to a pair of 1-1 ties last week, against Mahopac and Pawling, and the Bears opened the week with an 8-3 loss to Putnam Valley.
Saturday against Mahopac, Michaela Spannaus gave Brewster a 1-0 lead late in the first half, assisted by Marisa Delzio. Full Story

PUTNAM VALLEY-—The Putnam Valley High field hockey team snatched an impressive 8-3 victory over Brewster at home last Tuesday.
