Full Honors for Slain Marine
A young Marine who grew up in Mahopac before moving to Yonkers as a teenager will be laid to rest Saturday at the Rose Hill Memorial Park in Putnam Valley following a funeral mass in the Bronx.

The battle for the influential Independence Party in Putnam took a surprising turn when four write-in candidates backed by the fledgling interim county organization defeated candidates officially selected by the state independence party in the September 15 primary.
