Action for MS Raises $1,000 for Research
Putnam County’s newest non-profit organization—Action for MS—has made an important contribution in the hopes of finding a cure for multiple sclerosis.

Child Advocacy Center Celebrates 10 Years
The Child Advocacy Center of Putnam County has celebrated an auspicious occasion—its tenth anniversary of serving children and families embroiled in child abuse allegations.
Fifty people were on hand last Friday at the center’s offices on 121 Main Street in Brewster for a celebration that featured speeches by officials on the state, county, and local levels. Full Story

Anxious Peach Lake Moment on Yom Kippur Holiday
There were anxious moments on Peach Lake at the Southeast-North Salem line on Monday, when a boat capsized, tossing five teenagers into the water.
