Brewster Swimmers Top Poughkeepsie

BREWSTER—The Brewster High girls swim team topped Poughkeepsie in a meet last week. The Bears improved to 4-0 with the win.

Brewster’s team of Emily Sakowicz, Erin Markert, KelliAnne Valedon and Laura Safford won the 22 medley relay in a time of 2:17.47.

Ali Polhill was first in the 200 freestyle in 2:04.6, and Sakowicz took third in 2:38.

Courtney Monsees was first in the 200 IM in 2:19.8, and Monique Lawlor was third in 3:10.4.

Kristi Edleson was first in the 50 freestyle in 27.45, and Markert took second with a time of 30.07.

Polhill also won the 100 butterfly in 56.91, and Valedon won the 100 free in 1:01.70.

Edleson won the 500 free in 5:40.59, and Sakowicz was second.

Polhill, Valedon, Monsees and Edleson teamed up to win the 200 free relay in 1:50.3.

Monsees won the 100 backstroke, and Valedon was second, and Valedon, Markert and Sam VanDoran went 1-2-3 in the 100 breaststroke.

Brewster also took the 400 free relay, with Edleson, Valedon, Monsees and Polhill on the team.
