Putnam Valley Soccer Drops Two Games
PUTNAM VALLEY—The Putnam Valley High girls soccer team lost its two games last week. It’s been a tough year for the Tigers so far, and they only have a few games left to add on to their one win this season.
Friday Putnam Valley went up against league opponent Hen Hud, who has been one of the better teams in League D all year long. The Tigers were shut out, 9-0, by a good team looking to get a good playoff spot. Goalie Kim Schneider had 21 saves in the loss.
The Tigers did a bit better last Tuesday, but not by much. PV went up against another strong team in Haldane and lost, 6-1. An unassisted goal by Ashley Marks and 15 saves by Schneider were the only bright spots in the loss.
The Tigers have their last game today (Thursday) at home against another tough opponent in Westlake.
