Those attending the gala celebrated Putnam Hospital Center’s 45th annual Dinner and Ball, which was the most-attended ever as guests honored Nancy Dill and Dr. Mitchell Cohn for their service to the hospital.
Dill, a career businesswoman, volunteers her efforts in a variety of venues for the hospital, as well as serving on the Putnam County Prayer Fellowship Committee and numerous other organizations.
Dr. Cohn, who has been associated with the hospital for the past 20 years, was described by PHC Chairman of the Board of Directors Keiren Farquhar as an “integral part of the development of the hospital’s talented and respected medical staff.”
The hospital’s President and CEO, Donna McGregor, told the gathering that despite the poor economy, “Putnam Hospital Center remains profitable, which allows us to reinvest in new services, technology, and stateof the-art equipment.”
Michael Weber, President and CEO of Health Quest, the parent corporation
of Putnam Hospital Center, also praised the organization for its accomplishments over the past year: “The hospital has seen its patient satisfaction scores continue to climb in outpatient and inpatient care. Emergency and ambulatory surgery satisfaction has reached all time highs. PHC even made the New York State Honor Roll for quality care.
