Community Supports Patterson Library

Dear Editor:

Because the citizens of Patterson supported our library budget proposition, the Patterson Library has been given the opportunity to continue providing the community with the high level of service it deserves.

When, two years ago, our budget proposition was defeated by only 20 votes, we took heart in the knowledge that so many of you recognized the importance of libraries in today’s world.

We thought long and hard before approaching you with an operating increase this year when may of us are faced with job loss and dwindling savings. Your vote of confidence proves that the role libraries play in our society, especially in difficult times, is understood and appreciated. We extend this invitation to all our old and new friends: Patterson Library— Check it out!
