Patrick Salerno to Perform in Macy’s Parade
Patrick Salerno explains what he’ll be doing on Thanksgiving Day to Superintendent Thomas Manko. ERIC GROSS
Patrick Salerno may only be 10 years old, but the fifth grader at the Lakeview Elementary School in Mahopac isn’t the least bit nervous about his performance in the Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Patrick will be playing his flute on the Sesame Street float as it winds its way through mid-town Manhattan next Thursday.
Patrick is no stranger to the showbiz world. His mom said her son had previously acted in segments of the popular television series Law and
Order
and Criminal Intent
as well as starring in commercials for Bounty and Tylenol.
Patrick is one of a set of triplets. His brothers Robert and William are also students in Mahopac.
During a visit to Mahopac High School last Friday, Patrick told his story to Superintendent Thomas Manko, who was amazed by the child’s maturity, talent, and ambition: “I’m sure we’ll hear good things about Patrick for many years. The entire school family congratulates Patrick and his family for his many skills.”
