2010 Salaries Set for Putnam’s Public Officials

Putnam County legislators have set the salaries of county officials for 2010.

County Executive Robert Bondi will earn $148,635 next year—the same salary as 2009. Putnam’s nine legislators will also receive no increase in salary for their part-time positions—$35,136 each—

while the new chairman of the legislature will take home an additional $8,700.

The clerk to the Putnam Legislature will earn $96,008 in 2010 with the deputy clerk’s salary set at $74,362. The legislative counsel will earn $80,538 next year.

Putnam’s county auditor will earn $95,653 in 2010 while the watershed coordinator will be paid $62,586.

The district attorney’s salary was set at $131,400; commissioner of finance at $125,611; purchasing director at $100,741; director of real property$ 87,708; county clerk-$119,494; county attorney-$123,953; risk manager-$79,425; personnel director$ 117,830; commissioners of elections$ 45,433 for the part-time positions; commissioner of highways and facilities-$121,273.

The sheriff will earn $129,773 in 2010, while the salary for the county’s health commissioner was set at $159,900.

Putnam’s director of weights and measures will earn $82,157 next year while the director of the Office for the Aging will receive $106,651 in 2010.

Putnam’s commissioner of planning will earn $111,230 in 2010 while the part-time county historian will earn $19,511.
