DOT under fire for slow response to Sunday storm
The New York State DOT has taken it on the chin for its tardiness in responding to Sunday’s ice storm that paralyzed the region and resulted in numerous crashes including a fatality in Patterson.
Officials on the town level charged Monday that state highway trucks were no where to be found when freezing rain coated area highways making them impassable. Full Story

MTA’S NEW MATH
After raising a retroactive payroll tax on the Hudson Valley, and still coming up with $383 million budget deficit, the MTA voted to cut services to the Hudson Valley and Connecticut. The agency also eliminated its free and reduced price Metro Cards to students in New York City. Full Story

Susan Bach Remembered as Caring Woman
Susan Bach is being remembered this week as a caring, kind, compassionate and considerate woman.
The 51-year-old Bach died at Danbury Hospital while undergoing treatment for massive trauma received in a head-on crash in Patterson during Sunday’s horrific ice storm. Full Story
