‘Doc’ Baker Yearns for Peace PAC
A World War II hero residing in Baldwin Place has donated a rare sign to the Mahopac American Legion on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge.
The fight was the largest and bloodiest battle that American forces experienced during the Second World War, with 800,000 men committed to the battle and more than 19,000 Americans killed. Full Story

An outdoor menorah lighting in downtown Carmel Monday evening brought Jews and Christians together to celebrate the Festival of Lights.

Chamber Unification Has Been Tried Before—and Failed
The effort to combine the various Chambers of Commerce in Putnam County is not entirely novel. From 1994-1996, a similar effort managed to create an organization called The Putnam Association of Chambers.
