Dozens of senior citizens gathered on the day after Christmas in the community room of a building at 50 Main Street in Brewster to say thanks to the Putnam Community Foundation. The non-for-profit, founded a dozen years ago by State Senator Vincent Leibell, has created a variety of units of senior housing throughout eastern Putnam County as well as other community based projects.
