Raymond G. Natell

Raymond G. Natell of Brewster died Thursday December 24, 2009 in Brewster. He was 87.

Mr. Natell was born March 18, 1921, in the Bronx, son of the late Joseph and Adeline (Fischer) Natell). He graduated from the New York Military Academy in Cornwall-on-Hudson, and then married Anne DeSerio in the Bronx on Aug. 25, 1943. Mr. Natell served as a Captain in the Army during WWII and Korea. In 1962 he moved his family from Mt. Vernon to Brewster, where he was a member of the Brewster VFW Post 672, first President of the Booster Club in North Salem, and he worked as a Administrative Engineer for Frank B. Hall in Briarcliff for sixteen years before retiring in 1990.

Mr. Natell is survived by his wife, Anne, of Brewster, two sons, Raymond Natell and his wife Loretta of Pearl River; Brian Natell and his wife Mary of Yorktown; two daughters, Michele Scott and her husband John of Wingdale; JoAnn Maguire and her husband Jon of Charlestown Beach, RI; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Monday at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY 10509. Interment followed in St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery in Brewster.
