Town Board ready for 2010
At its 2010 organizational meeting on Monday, Kent welcomed new board member John Greene to his first public session. Greene was appointed a liaison to the zoning board of appeals committee, water district 2 committee, and the historical society. The town retained Curtiss Leibell & Shilling as town counsel and declared the PUTNAM COUNTY COURIER as its official newspaper. Full Story
BREWSTER
A new home for police
The Brewster Police Department will be relocating from its cramped headquarters on Main Street to the site of the former Village Hall.
Mayor James Schoenig had no timetable as to when renovations would be completed at the old Village Hall site at the intersection of Peaceable Hill Road, Main Street and Routes 6& 22. Full Story

Counselors discuss admissions
