Carmel Hands Brewster Second Loss of Season
Rooney’s season-high 27 lead Carmel attack
CARMEL—A sizzling hot Mike Rooney poured in a season-high 27 points, and Alex Grace ripped down 14 rebounds, as the Carmel High boys basketball team made a statement Monday by beating a good Brewster team, 59- 57, in a League 1-A game at Carmel.
The win lifted Carmel to 7-3 overall, 2-1 in league play. Full Story
Bears Top Beacon, Struggle at Duals
BREWSTER—The Brewster High wrestling team took down Beacon last week in a League 1-A match, 44-31, but the Bears went into a tough dual meet tournament short-handed over the weekend, and ended up struggling.
Brewster, which went into the weekend with a 10-1 dual meet record, went 2-5 at the 12-team, Battlefield Duals in Stafford, Virginia, leaving the Bears at 12-6. Full Story
