Rep. Hall Gives Us Reason to Get Involved
Dear Editor:
Letter sent to the Carmel office of
Congressman John Hall. Reprinted at
the request of the senders.
Dear Congressman Hall:
Do you hear us now? Do we now have your attention?
The American voters have spoken loud and clear in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Virginia. This is what happens when our so-called representatives arrogantly refuse to listen to the majority of their constituents.
In your arrogance you have decided not to represent your constituents but rather your own leftist agenda. We have tried time and time again to get through to you and let our voices be heard, but you have dismissed us out of hand.
Even after many of your constituents told you, time and time again, “We do not want government-run healthcare,” you had the audacity to send out, at taxpayer expense, a brochure informing us that we are mistaken in our thinking that rationing would occur.
This sir, is a boldfaced lie! Do you take us for ignorant fools? An elementary school child can tell you the numbers don’t add up. If you have a broken system, which is Medicare, and you add additional millions of uninsured onto the rolls, rationing must occur! Your actions would have us believe you hold your constituents in contempt! It seems only logical to assume that any person who signs something important without first reading it, does so because of duress, or worse, because of treachery. We are convinced you did so for the latter reason. We have not been active politically for many years: you, sir, have changed that! Many politicians, yourself included, have angered the American public. We will vote you out of office come November. We consider you a danger to our individual freedom and the American way of life.
