Catholic Schools Week Celebrated at St. John’s

The St. John’s School cafeteria resembled a pancake restaurant Monday when boys and girls gobbled up delicious homemade flapjacks. Several parents joined in the celebration to assist the younger children in cutting up their pancakes. Annette DiGrandi of Mahopac gives these six and 7-year-olds a hand. The girls include Isabella Sanchez, Sierra Millicker, and Adrianna Diab. Eric Gross Children attending classes at St. John the Evangelist School in Mahopac are celebrating Catholic Schools Week by participating in a variety of activities and events.

On Sunday, a special Mass was said at the church overlooking Lake Mahopac, followed by a delicious pancake luncheon on Monday, a series of Olympic game competitions on Tuesday, and dress down day and game day Thursday.

Friday will culminate the week’s activities with an ice cream sundae party and a family dance in the evening.
