Frozen Fahnestock


Boats lie along the icy shore of Canopus Lake on Route 301 in Clarence Fahnestock State Park. Frigid temperatures and intermittent snowfall have stilled the waters and silenced the woods, so that the only sounds are creaking ice and occasional cars passing by as they travel between Cold Spring and Carmel.
