Mahopac Indians Defeat Ketcham, Lose to Lakeland
The Mahopac High boys’ basketball team split two non-league games in the Matshtik Tournament held at Mahopac High School on Friday night and Saturday.
The Indians lost a non-league game to Lakeland on Saturday 77-68 after defeating Roy C. Ketcham 56-43 on Friday night. Full Story
Indians Lose One, Tie One on Upstate Trip
The Mahopac High ice hockey team traveled up to the Albany area last weekend and played two out-of-conference games on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
The team played to a 3-3 tie with Guilderland Sunday at Union College and lost to Shaker Colonie 4-0 the day before in a game played at Albany Airport. Full Story
Put Valley Boys Trip Up Clark Academy
PUTNAM VALLEY—The Putnam Valley high boys basketball team lost to Ossining 74-53 on Monday, and lost 69-61 on Saturday to Dover. Thursday Put Valley hosted Clark Academy and picked up a 54-42 win. Full Story
Pac Indians Take Super 16 Tourney
MAHOPAC—The Mahopac High wrestling team was feeling pretty good last weekend. That is what winning the Super 16 Tournament, which took place Saturday at Yonkers High School, will do for you.
The team won with a total score of 202.5 points in a tournament that includes 16 teams from the area. Many of them are powerhouses when it comes to wrestling. Full Story
Carmel Girls Remain Unbeaten on Slopes

CARMEL—The Carmel High girls ski team defeated Brewster and Greeley in a Southern League tri-meet at Thunder Ridge last Friday. Carmel’s boys team also topped both the Bears and the Quakers on the same day.
The Carmel girls team total time was 231.6. Greeley totaled 246.41, and Brewster’s total was 259.81. Full Story
Rams Grab Second at Super 16 Tournament
Davidson, Rosalino snag weight-class titles
CARMEL—With a pair of weightclass champions and eight other Rams placing, the Carmel High wrestling team pinned down a second-place finish at the Super 16 Tournament Saturday at Yonkers High School.
Mahopac won the team title with 202.5 points, Carmel was next at 174, and Somers finished third with 146.5. Full Story

CARMEL – It was a Jekyll and Hyde spin for the Carmel High boys basketball team last week, as the Rams were very good in a 58-44 League 1-A victory over Yorktown Monday, but were very bad in a 57-56 non-league setback Friday to Saunders. Full Story

PUTNAM VALLEY—The Putnam Valley high girls basketball team suffered two crushing losses in recent action, they lost a league game to Ossining 79-40 on Monday and Friday Byram Hills rolled to a 71-25 victory. Full Story

PUTNAM VALLEY—The John F. Kennedy Catholic/Putnam Valley high ice hockey team beat Brewster, 6-4, in a league game Sunday at the Brewster Ice Arena. Full Story

BREWSTER—The Brewster High boys basketball team topped Beacon, 43-35, in a non-league game last Friday at Beacon. Brewster (11-4), got 15 points from Jordan Cirocco, Sean Trainor added eight points and Nick Blumberg had seven.

Lady Indians Drop Two in Tournament
The Mahopac High girls basketball team lost both games it played in the Matshtik Tournament held last Friday night and Saturday at Mahopac High School.
On Saturday the Indians were defeated by John Jay-Cross River 59-31 in the tournament’s consolation round. They lost to Scarsdale Friday night 61-31. Full Story
Rams Slip Up Against Ossining
CARMEL—With their season winding down, a short-handed Carmel High hockey team lost to conference opponent Ossining, 5-2 on Friday night at the Brewster Ice Arena.
Playing without their starting goalie, the Rams fell behind 5-0, before scoring two third-period goals. Full Story
Brewster Performs Well at Championships
BREWSTER—The Brewster high boys and girls track team competed in the Northern County Championships at the Armory in New York City on Sunday. The boys finished second behind Arlington and the girls came in seventh.
