Enterprising Women’s Group to Debut in March
The Professional Women of Putnam (PWP) announces its official debut on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at The Lantern Restaurant, 728 Route 6, Mahopac, from 6-9pm. Led by founder Jamie Imperati, the PWP offers a platform for professional women to support and learn from one another.
“Launching this group has been a dream of mine for quite some time,” said Ms. Imperati. There’s a need for this in Putnam. “In addition to approaching business differently, I find that when women and men gather at networking events, women sometimes feel uncomfortable demonstrating their nurturing, emotional side along with their professional and business issues. I wanted to create a relaxed forum where women could talk business in a way that is natural and uninhibited,” added Imperati.
Education will be a key program component at the group’s monthly dinner meetings. The kickoff meeting will feature an informative presentation by SEOPR and Social Media expert, Lisa Kaslyn of Kashen Communications. Lisa will talk about the Prosper PR Method and social media as another tool in your PR and search engine optimization arsenal.
The Professional Women of Putnam encourages women from a variety of professions and trades to connect and support each other in a non-competitive environment. The PWP doesn’t exclude anyone from any business. The group believes there is enough growth opportunities out there for everyone.
