Putnam County Clerk Will Seek Reelection
Calling it the “best job” in county government, Putnam County Clerk Dennis Sant has made it official—he will seek another four-year term in November.
Sant was first appointed County Clerk in 2001 by former Governor George Pataki after Putnam’s long time County Clerk Joe Peloso retired. Sant was re-elected in both 2002 and in 2006 by overwhelming margins. Full Story
New Corneal Transplant Technique Debuts at PHC
A new technique for corneal transplant has been performed at Putnam Hospital Center.
Dr. Erich Braun, a specialist in ophthalmology and corneal surgery, completed the intricate procedure that is used for patients whose vision is impaired by an irregular shaped cornea or by a cloudy cornea due to age, trauma, or disease. Full Story
