Developer Paul Camarda returned to the Southeast Zoning Board of Appeals on Monday, having cut down signage plans for his massive Stateline Retail Center. But his revisions may not have mattered. Family and friends are mourning the passing of Charles Sandbank, who died Saturday evening while attending a community get-together with his wife, Brewster Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jane Sandbank.

Police Canine Units Train in Putnam County
Training conducted in Putnam County will assist police officers and their specially trained canines to track down criminals across the United States.
Thirty-seven canine teams converged on the Home Depot Shopping Plaza last week, and for seven hours went through a series of tracking exercises inside a vast box store that formerly housed Linens ‘n’ Things. Full Story
Jewelry Thief
A 31-year-old Patterson woman is facing a lengthy state prison term following her arrest in connection with a residential burglary in Yorktown Heights.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department was notified last week by Yorktown Police that detectives were investigating the February 13 break-in and theft of a quantity of jewelry and a credit card. Full Story
