Pawling Man Dreams Up Robbery, Faces Charges

    A report of a Hispanic man accosting a pedestrian with a gun turned the sleepy downtown Pawling area into a hotbed of police activity. State Police from Brewster and Dover Plains raced to the scene last week along with members of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Department ,while Putnam County Sheriff’s Department personnel converged on the Patterson- Pawling line.     Stabbed in the Neck A 34-year-old Carmel man continues to recover from a stab wound in the neck allegedly inflicted by an 18-yearold Pawling girl who is facing charges of first-degree assault. Kent Police were summoned to Tara’s Irish Pub on Route 311 in Lake Carmel early Saturday for a report of a stabbing. Full Story
Dutchess County Woman Charged with Theft of PARC Credit Card

    An employee of PARC, a nonfor profit organization providing advocacy and programming for children and adults with developmental disabilities, is facing grand larceny charges for allegedly stealing a corporate gasoline credit card from her employer. Sheriff Donald Smith announced the arrest last week of Angela Green, 41, of Wappingers Falls, in connection with the case. Full Story
