The Chris Tantalos Memorial Day Dinner Dance was held on May 1st at the Mahopac Fire House.
Family and Friends were deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Christopher Dean Tantalos, a former standout Baseball Player at Mahopac High School, whose young life was tragically cut short in a car accident on June 19, 2000. Full Story

Unclaimed Cash Available
The Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company is looking for a number of Putnam residents and businesses to distribute abandoned property.
The New York State Comptroller’s office received the report last Friday of the unclaimed cash that is available to those listed as long as the property is claimed by August 31. Full Story
Drug distribution probe leads to arrest in Brewster
An illegal alien from Guatemala currently residing in northern Westchester is facing a lengthy state prison term and eventual deportation following his arrest in Brewster for allegedly operating a cocaine distribution operation.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department announced the arrest last week of Gustavo Posadas of Bedford Hills in connection with the incident. Full Story
