Retired Teachers Group Awards Scholarships
Students across the county have been recognized with the awarding of scholarships from the Putnam County Retired Teachers Association.
Members of the group visited Board of Education meetings in recent days to make the presentations to students enrolled in vocational and life skills curriculums. Full Story
BOCES Honors Students of Distinction
Eleven students attending Putnam- Northern Westchester BOCES in Yorktown have been recognized as individuals who set the standard to which their fellow students can aspire.
The young men and women were selected by their teachers as students of distinction for the fourth quarter and were honored at a breakfast last week attended by family and friends. Full Story
BOCES Budget Approved
The vote was 17-1! Putnam-Northern Westchester Board of Cooperative Educational Services component districts overwhelmingly approved the 2010- 11 budget last week with the Peekskill Board of Ed registering the only no vote. Full Story
