The Hudson Valley Special Olympics competition returned to Brewster High School Saturday.

Erker Leads ’Pac Baseball Team to Three Straight Wins
MAHOPAC—Chris Erker had quite the week for the Mahopac High baseball team - he picked up two wins and earned the save in his team's other game of the week, all without allowing a run.
The Indians (11-5, 7-1) started their week with an 11-0 win over Brewster on Tuesday, and beat them 6-5 in extrainnings on Thursday before Monday's win 3-0 over Yorktown. Full Story
Gaels Finish Second at Softball Tourney
SOMERS— On Saturday the John F. Kennedy Catholic high softball squad competed in the Briarcliff Tournament and faced Yonkers in the championship game at Pace University, it lost 10-2. In the early game of the one-day tourney they beat Croton 11-1, it's been a continuing struggle for the Gaels to find consistency. Full Story

SOMERS—The John F. Kennedy track and field team traveled to Hendrick Hudson High School on Saturday to compete in the Westchester County Championships. Monday and Tuesday Dover High School hosted the League Championship meet, the girls finished second and the boys third. Full Story
Kennedy Girls Drop Four Games Last Week
The John F. Kennedy High School girls lacrosse team suffered through a tough stretch last week, dropping all four of its games. The Gaels lost to Hendrick Hudson 16-11 on Friday at home after losing 22-5 on the road to Ossining the day before. They were defeated by host North Salem 13-7 last Tuesday and dropped one to home team Putnam Valley 15-6 on Monday. All were League 3 games Full Story
PV Girls Lacrosse Team Splits Two League Games
PUTNAM VALLEY—On Monday the Putnam Valley high girls lacrosse team went to Hen Hud for a league game and the last game of the regular season, it came back with a tough 14-12 loss, on Thursday it traveled to North Salem for another league match-up and won 13-10. Full Story

’Pac Track Teams Perform Well at Championships
The Mahopac High boys and girls track teams took part in the Northern County Championships at Arlington High School last Friday and Saturday and came away with good performances.
The girls' team finished in second place out of 12 teams with 84, with Arlington coming in first. On the boys' side, they finished in fourth with 55 points while Arlington once again took the top spot. Full Story
Carmel Track Teams Compete at Northern County Championships
CARMEL—The Northern County Championships were held at Arlington High School on Saturday. The Carmel girls placed eighth out of 12 teams and the boys finished 11th out of 11. Not exactly thrilling finishes but coach Eric Schwark doesn't seem to be disappointed or worried at all. Full Story
Brewster Girls Lacrosse Team Rolls Over Admirals, 17-3, Fall to Mahopac
BREWSTER—Meghan Yarusso had a career-high six goals and three assists, and Liz Lleshaj added four goals, as the Brewster High girls lacrosse team routed Arlington, 17-3, Monday on the road. The Bears also dropped a 9-7 decision to Mahopac last Wednesday at Brewster.
Monday against Arlington, Brewster led 7-1 by halftime. Full Story

One good turn deserves another, it seems. A call last week from friend Bill Twardy, from Kent, had Mama and me driving up to his residence, off Nichols Street, to pick up a bag filled with clams. Bill uses a clam rake to pull the clams out of the mud, wading in the waters off the New Hampshire shoreline. Full Story
Mahopac Girls Have Big Week Against Arlington, Brewster, Wappingers
The Mahopac High girls lacrosse team is ending the regular season on the right foot, having won all three of its games last week, the last full week of play before the start of the sectionals.
The Indians defeated Arlington at home on Friday night 15-0. That followed a 9-7 victory on the road over Brewster last Wednesday and a 14-4 home win over Wappingers last Monday. Full Story
