George Leo Daros passed away peacefully at home on May 22, 2010, just two days before his 89th birthday. Mr. Daros was born May 24, 1921, in Croton Falls, NY, son of the late Antonio and Lena Tagliaferro Daros. He grew up in the Croton Falls area and attended Mahopac Schools. Full Story
RAYMOND W. HIGGS
Raymond W. Higgs, age 82, a 27 year resident of Wassiac, NY, died Friday, May 14, 2010, in Carmel. Mr. Higgs was born June 3, 1927 in Carmel to Edward and Susan (Carey) Higgs. He attended schools in the Holmes/Pawling area. On July 31, 1954, Mr. Higgs married the love of his life, Lillian Kelley at the Pawling Baptist Church parsonage in Pawling. Full Story
JOHN A. (JACK) SCHRATZ
John A. (Jack) Schratz died May 19, 2010, at his home in Tucson, AZ. He was 85. Jack was born October 12, 1924, in Jamaica, Queens and moved to Mahopac, NY in the 1940s. He served in China during WWII in the Army Air Corp providing ground support for the “Flying Tigers”. Full Story

THOMAS (TOM) F. EDDY
Thomas (Tom) F. Eddy of West Harwich, died on Monday, May 17, 2010, after a long illness. He was 81 years old, born on City Island, Bronx, NY, and a long time resident of Brewster, NY. Tom enjoyed 23-years of retirement after a successful 33-year career as a field engineer and manager at IBM. Full Story
