Express Dry Cleaners Opens in Brewster

Owned and operated by Ana Padilla and her mother Martha, the business located at 993 Route 22 in the former USA Baby Shopping Center across from Sciortino’s Restaurant, offers a full variety of cleaning and laundry services ranging from shirts to pants, suits, sweaters, and fancy attire, including wedding gowns.

Ana and her mom have been employed in the dry cleaning business for years. After emigrating from their native Ecuador 15 years ago, the women have worked for a number of private cleaners. Ana until recently was employed as manager of the Touch of Class Dry Cleaners in Carmel.

Ana said she and her mother wanted to be their own boss for some time: “We felt now was that time and have invested in our own business.”

Ana welcomes customers to the store while her mom is the presser. A third employee, Angelica Vazquez, handles sewing and other incidentals. The store offers same day service and through the end of the month is offering a 25 percent discount on all purchases.

The shop is open Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm Monday through Friday and on Saturday from 8am to 5pm.
