William F. O’Connor, Jr. of Brewster died Saturday June 12, 2010 in Danbury. He was 60.

Mr. O’Connor was born Sept. 24, 1949 in the Bronx, son of the late William F., Sr. and Florence M. (Scherer) O’Connor. He graduated from Mount Saint Michael High School in Mt. Vernon in 1968, then received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Business Administration from Iona College in New Rochelle in 1971 and 1974 respectively.

On May 2, 1976 he married Patricia A. Sherry in the Bronx. They moved to Brewster 30 years ago and were members of St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Ridgefield. Mr. O’Connor was a VP Trader for First Boston Corp. in Manhattan, then for Hoenig Corp. in Rye Brook when he retired after 30 years in 2006. He was an avid golfer, a member of the Wingdale Golf Course and past member of the Vails Grove Golf Course.

Besides his wife Patricia of Brewster he is survived by his three daughters; Julie, Lauren, and Jeannine O’Connor, all of Brewster, nieces Diedre and Diane, nephews Thomas, Christopher, Timothy, Robert, and Tom, and his best friend William Underwood of Ronkonkoma. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Dinan in 1982. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday June 15 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church.
